Many versions into one
We have been together off and on for many years. We're at it again.
You may have seen us together as Karisma, maybe as Karigma a few years later. Karisma was at some point one of the few bands who were available to play at private parties. Noemi, Jazmin, Bernardo and Ruben were part of Karisma before Norberto joined.
A desire to record their own music forced a name change and Karigma was born. An album of original songs was released, mostly Cumbia and their fun continued on for a few more years.
Changes happened, some people joined and some left. Karigma turned into La Conexion Vital, with sisters Noemi and Jazmin, leading the way. A second record was completed under Conexion Vital and after a few years, Conexion Vital turned into Noches de Reve.
1991
Karisma years.
Cover band years, playing all the songs that were requested by the people. From Mambo #5, to Mambo #8 to Mambo Lupita. All the mambos were certainly played.
2000
The Karigma years
One album was recorded with original content, but we still played at multiple private events. Mambos were played, but we would throw our originals on the setlist.
2005
The Conexion Vital Years
Second album recorded, but more styles were added to the content. No longer just a cumbia band.
2024
Noches de Reve
New era taking place. Same core members, new styles of music.
